chopdawg asked: There are people who claim to be "survivors" of saline abortion procedures that were performed at 6 or 7 months gestation... and now they are adults who use their stories to get support for the pro-life movement. Are their stories true? Have the facts been investigated at all? An example is Melissa Ohden.

I am familiar with stories like the one you mentioned, I’ve written about others and the stories always seem to have gaps and, of course, very little evidence.

Plus the way the saline procedures that they “survived” are described aren’t accurate. Usually they talk about how the saline burns the fetus which just isn’t true. Saline induces a miscarriage but it isn’t caustic and can’t cause burns. Saline is what they give you in an IV bag when you are dehydrated. If it burned skin, it wouldn’t be safe to give as IV fluids.
